I bought mine at Carrefour.<div>I don't seem to notice these readily packed ones before coz I use to get them from the timbang counter. These are slightly thinner in pieces, but are just as great especially in noodles.</div><div><br /></div><div>Do it like I did.. yummy!</div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Take a couple of slices out from the 1/2 frozen pack, cut it into strips. Chop some garlic to go with it. This time around, I have some leftover prawns (which I've marinated earlier) but didn't managed to use them, so I'm gonna chuck them in as well. If you have some kuchai in your fridge, you may also put them in.. easy peasy.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 288px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SaGawfPbYOI/AAAAAAAABKI/X9vs886y3Bw/s400/MiSedap+01.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5305691993829761250" /></div><div><br /></div><div>Heat up the frying pan. Put some olive oil (or whatever oil you have in your kitchen).. then in goes the chicken strips and/or prawns (do it separately, of course). Fry till crispy.</div><div>Then get ready a small pot, layer it with oil (only slightly). You don't want your noodles too get to oily.. Put it the chopped garlic, fry till fragrant.</div><div><br /></div><div>Pour in some hot water.. as it boils up into tiny bubbles, put in your packet of noodles. Any types of noodles would do, but I prefer mine Cintan or MiSedap as the noodles are not as soggy as Maggi.. =)</div><div><br /></div><div>Then of course those msg stuffs that comes together with the packet of noodles. If you're a health freak, you shouldn't even be trying this.. lol</div><div><br /></div><div>As it's almost done, throw in the tiny prawns & chicken strips. Leave it for 30 secs. Then it's ready to be served.</div><div><br /></div><div>Ooo.. can't wait to dip in.. oh, and don't forget the chilli padi's for those who likes it hot!</div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 288px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SaGawrCcg6I/AAAAAAAABKQ/W2bOolLZk3Q/s400/MiSedap+02.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5305691996996535202" /><br /></div><div><br /></div></div>Life Spinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10973537771827907239noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1985944620332151883.post-43725161789491071852009-02-22T22:09:00.004+08:002009-02-22T22:24:35.328+08:00Pet Society: Newbie!I have no idea how to manipulate this game! How can I change it?!</div><div>And it's name! I wanna change it's name tooo!! dang!</div><div><br /></div><div>I just got some advise from a dear friend, Karin.. saying that I should be visiting other pets who are dirty & hungry, give them something to eat & a bath to earn some dough. I used to travel with grandma to Kuala Lumpur, the big city as I recall. Each year end school holiday, I was allowed a trip to KL with her. We always took the train from Ipoh to KL. Know why? Grandma usually packed as if we're going away for a year! We'd carry 1 extra large case (for her) and 1 medium suit case for me together with her medication pouch. The amount of things she brought along is unbelievable! </div><div style="text-align: center;"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 283px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SaAIaQWwqYI/AAAAAAAABIA/seWMXxqHpYs/s400/KTM+03.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5305249608202496386" /><br /></div><div>I'll always get fifty Ringgit of pocket money (it was a lot those days - 1980's) from mom. She's always afraid that I would get lost on my own, and so I had this little pouch which I carry every where I went, with a Ipoh /KL home address, office & home number. Those days we do not have mobile phones. So she taught me how to use the public phones or anybody's phone to call home, it's still ringing in my ears, 'remember Lian, if you're calling home from your Kooma's place in KL, you must put a 05 in front.. otherwise, you won't be able to get to me'. Then, she'd make me practice in front of her.. </div><div><br /></div><div>Then me & grandma would board the train from the railway station in Ipoh, lugging along these extra large cases with their help, stuffed it into the luggage compartment. There was none actually, we've just got to put it near the exit, for it'll be easier to unload them later.. Then I'd always be wondering, how the hell are we gonna get these things off the train if Kooma has not arrive before we did! Well, most of the time we were lucky enough to have young men helping her. She's was a hot chick.. during her younger days! </div><div style="text-align: center;"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 283px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SaADRUAdXpI/AAAAAAAABHg/c7CkiI1SNp4/s400/Family+02.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5305243957005737618" /><br /></div><div>Mom & dad would drop us off, made sure that we've both got our seats right, before they'd leave the train station. Each time mom sends us off, I feel a pang of sadness. I knew I'm so gonna miss her and her bed time stories from the cartoon section of the daily papers.. </div><div><br /></div><div>The sound of whistle is heard.. The train master waving the tiny white flag, as a signal for the train to roll on. The train starts chugging slowly, the sound of it huffing & puffing and each time followed by a loud sound from it's chimney.. A tear rolled down my face. Waving dearly to mom & dad.. That was the first time I left home without them both.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 226px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SaAKAEU_1OI/AAAAAAAABIo/3ri0of0ZV38/s320/KTM+08.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5305251357320533218" /><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 226px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SaAJ_tPwgwI/AAAAAAAABII/tyjkdhThcLU/s320/KTM+04.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5305251351124542210" /></div></div>Life Spinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10973537771827907239noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1985944620332151883.post-30093736830451473032009-02-19T11:46:00.011+08:002009-02-20T02:07:50.342+08:00Piggy Banks of RapidKL<div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold; "><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:large;">How efficient are these 'Piggy Banks'?!</span></span><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;">Can someone tell me if this a good implementation by RapidKL buses?</span><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 283px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SZzcIyLd0bI/AAAAAAAABHQ/WUiK8HXy3sk/s400/RapidU84+04.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5304356504602530226" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">On it was stated:<br /></span></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"><br /></span></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">"Sediakan wang tambang tepat.</span></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">Pamerkan jumlah tambang kepada pemandu.</span></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">Masukkan tambang ke dalam tabung.</span></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">Sila ambil tiket dan simpan untuk pemeriksaan."</span></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"><br /></span></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">Terima kasih.</span></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Was there even a chance for passengers to read what was written here? It was all rolled up.. you wouldn't even know how much is being slotted in. In fact, how would you as a passenger to prove that you've put in the correct amount into the 'piggy bank'. How infact, if the drivers would rectify if the money was good (not vandalized or torn in halves) or if you were putting coins, how would the drivers know if that was the exact amount?</div><div><br /></div><div>I would see that the old fashion coin box was a more logical implementation where there's a see thru' glass, where drivers & the passengers can see the amount being slotted in. At least the drivers of RapidKL can detect bad money as & when it was slotted in... probably.... </div><div><br /></div><div>Is this 'piggy bank' the best idea that they could come out with, when they were at one time accusing drivers of 'makan duit'?</div><div>Beats me...</div><div><br /></div><div>Moreover, I've seen <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:large;">'smart businessman'</span></span> who picks up used tickets at bus terminals and resell them for a Ringgit. </div><div><br /></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:large;">At NO cost, just 100% profit!</span></span></div>Life Spinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10973537771827907239noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1985944620332151883.post-80602634843042971172009-02-19T09:36:00.022+08:002009-02-20T16:14:42.883+08:00Rapid KL - Bad Attitude DriverWe had wanted to go to Jalan 222 yesterday. We opt to take the Rapid KL buses and so we hopped on to U41 from Jalan Chan Sow Lin that would take us to Klang bus stand. And I thought to myself, 'this journey isn't that bad' as some complains...<div><br /></div><div>We reached Klang bus stand at 3.15 p.m. There wasn't much jam, so it took us only 15 minutes to arrive. Cool, it was better that driving there ourselves. Now we will just have take the U84 which heads to Kelana Jaya. No, that's not our destination - but it passes Jalan 222, and so we would stop there.</div><div><br /></div><div>We waited thinking that it would take us not more that 20 minutes max.. as promised by Rapid KL that they would supply buses to each routes with a gap of 15 minutes each. </div><div><br /></div><div>It's way <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">past 15 minutes and not a U84 in sight</span></span>. As we waited, there was about 6 or 7 units of U74 which came in, pick up passengers and left. And not one unit of U84 by Rapid KL !? And mind you, not all of the U74 was jam packed but still they jalan!</div><div><br /></div><div><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SZzJypblPcI/AAAAAAAABGw/eRG8ewSTIbs/s1600-h/RapidU84+01.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 226px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SZzJypblPcI/AAAAAAAABGw/eRG8ewSTIbs/s320/RapidU84+01.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5304336333087784386" /></a></div></div><div>At last, at a little past 3.45 p.m... the U84 arrived.. moved in slowly to park by the side.. and I could see everyone moving fast towards it. Most of us stood in a line, (wah! Malaysians finally learned to queue!!).. waited for the last passenger to leave before we went up.</div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 226px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SZzKQAsm7YI/AAAAAAAABG4/-pBWeDxitbs/s320/RapidU84+02.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5304336837549419906" /><br /></div><div>Bam! The driver slammed the door in our faces!! What the hell was that for?! The first in the queue was an elderly man, was rather taken aback.</div><div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 238); text-decoration: underline;"><br /></span></div></div><div>So PJ went over to the driver and asked him politely - 'when is this bus schedule to leave?'</div><div>'I have to report to the master', the driver answered while gulping his bottle of water.</div><div>Without answering to his initial question, he stepped down and walked off, to God knows where.</div><div><br /></div><div>So everyone of us waited at the same spot... And at the same time, hoping that there would be another U84 coming in. <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">Unfortunately, there was NONE!!</span></span></div><div><br /></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">30 minutes! 30 blarrrdy minutes was how long he took to report to the master!</span></span></div><div>And in fact, he was puffing away with some friends or drivers below the LRT station.. Oh yes, we saw him standing there trying to camouflage himself among the other drivers.</div><div>As I remember, there were <a href="http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2006/9/2/central/15276968&sec=central">articles</a> on the frequency which I quote</div><div><br /></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;">"trunk line service with a 10-minute frequency as compared to the old system"</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;"><br /></span></div><div>and I can't seemed to find any press statements stating that they will be serving buses in an hours frequency...!!!! </div><div><br /></div><div>Why can't he just tell these passengers that he needed a break, tak kisah lah toilet break ke, rokok break ke, makan break ke, lunjur kaki break ke.. whatever.. all he had to do was to explain. It isn't that hard, right? I see some drivers do that. And none would actually complain, for we do understand - coz we too drive. We too need breaks, for the legs needs some rest sometimes. Fine!</div><div><br /></div><div>At last he decided that he should continue his journey at 4,15 p.m..</div><div>And so he went up the bus, sat there for a good 2 minutes before he decided to open the door.</div><div>Still we tried to calm ourselves down. Just maybe, he had a bad day..</div><div><br /></div><div>Then PJ tried talking to him again. This time it was to ask if he could help stop us anywhere near the Maybank at triple 2.. Not that we don't know where Maybank was, but we just weren't sure where the nearest bus stop was.</div><div><br /></div><div>Know what he said, 'Kamu tak tau nak pegi mana?' and continued mumbling under his breath.. Lagi orang sabar, lagi dia kasi naik angin.. Maybe, he just didn't understand our question.. Fine.. We didn't want to argue with him coz we didn't want to spoil the whole day, half spoil was enough....</div><div><br /></div><div>We even managed to witness how he left some passengers at KL Sentral as they were approaching the bus. We saw one of them signaling for the bus and the driver sort off slowed down at a distance from where the crowd was... seems like it was done on purpose (I think), and left them there as they were walking towards the bus.... (I guess "ah, lembab lah these people" was playing in the drivers mind)... Some experience!</div><div><br /></div><div>Now,we are at the 222 junction, exit from the highway.. </div><div>A lady pressed the buzzer for the next stop. I thought, 'Oh maybe, just maybe she's warning the driver that she will disembark at the next bus stop (in front of BHP)'.. Suddenly, this driver opens the back door to let her down.. where there wasn't a bus stop in sight!! What happens if some motorists slams into her??? </div><div><br /></div><div>Such an irresponsible person! I've seen passengers that had wanted to go down in the middle of traffic jams or traffic lights.. but most drivers would be smart enough to know that they are only allowed to drop off passengers at its rightful bus stops, for if anything happens to the passenger - part of the blame would go to them. </div><div><br /></div><div>We arrive at the bus stop closest to the Maybank... and instead of telling us, he just "pointed out the bus stop with HIS NOSE"....</div><div><br /></div><div>Soon I realized, he doesn't look like someone who has encountered a bad day. <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"></span></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">He looked like some one with a bad attitude problem!</span></span></div><div><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SZzKnWBOXHI/AAAAAAAABHA/nFU15a7hNTs/s1600-h/RapidU84+03.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 226px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SZzKnWBOXHI/AAAAAAAABHA/nFU15a7hNTs/s320/RapidU84+03.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5304337238410026098" /></a></div></div>Life Spinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10973537771827907239noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1985944620332151883.post-19479327909923915682009-02-16T23:28:00.084+08:002009-02-18T14:12:57.958+08:00Kemensah Chalet - Birthday Party<div style="text-align: justify;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:large;">Birthday parties are great fun! </span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: normal;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: normal;"></span></span></span></span></span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: normal;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: normal;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:small;">We had such great time at one of the Kemensah waterfall last Sunday. The mams' & tuans' were all very understanding - & allow them to have their bits of fun with the kids! The mommies & daddies did a great job in creating some happening games for the kids too! I've so many other pictures of daddies doing the <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;">shuffle</span> & <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;">blowing ping pong balls</span>! - but couldn't put it up here! My good friend initially told me earlier that the kids had wanted to camp! We didn't see any campers.. and there was only one other path.... & that leads us into the hutan.. I told myself, oh maybe they went in there..</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">But...<br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Luckily PJ still has some logic left.. he turned back, walked towards the fellas' at the little hut that acts as their registration counter and asked if they could direct us to where the party was.<br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Kan dah malu.. We got a call & we were kinda excited.. We were told that a new fleet of buses by Tasik Kenyir Express would be launched at the Dataran Putrajaya.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">We arrived at 10a.m. It hasn't started.. There was a slight delay. The ribbons weren't fixed yet!</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Soon the VIP's arrived. It was officiated by Y.B. Encik Wan Abdul Hakim, Timbalan Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Perlancongan, Kebudayaan, Kesenian dan Warisan, Negeri Terengganu (much too long to translate).</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">There were 3 buses parked under the grand aluminium arch. The amount of people that attended..hmm.. kinda saddening. Either the Dataran Putrajaya is too huge that it looked empty or they must have not invited enough participants and guests to this event. There was also a Treasure Hunt in conjunction to the launch. Interesting.. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">We managed to <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;">kepoh</span> with the operator & they said that their buses were assembled by SCOMI using the Nissan UD JA452S.... and it's a 38 seater !!</div><div><br /></div><div>For those who wish to travel to Tasik Kenyir from Kuala Lumpur (Hentian Putra), Kuala Perlis and Alor Setar get on their buses now!<br /></div><div><br /></div><div>I picked up some info from <a href="http://www.ketengah.gov.my/kenyir/bus.htm">here:</a></div><div><br /></div><div>Transportation ( Bus )<br />A direct bus service, The Tasik Kenyir Express departs daily at 8.00 p.m from Hentian Putra in Kuala Lumpur to Tasik Kenyir via Al Muktafi Billah Shah Town and Kuala Berang. Their ground floor parking lots are flooded most of the time, what more their basement parking. The water could rise as high as 3 feet or more maybe.<br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Some more insurance policies don't cover these! Do they?! Can someone tell me if there is one policy which covers this? I sure sure go sell it to them. Sure make loads, coz I'm pretty sure everyone who owns a car, for sure will buy.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><div style="text-align: justify;">This has been happening more frequent lately. Omg.. You can hardly see them nowadays. We accompanied Mek JAh to the repair shop at Jalan Loke Yew.. and it really caught my attention !! The Norton's being made alive!!! I was so excited & felt nostalgic all at the same time. I remembered grandpa used to have a couple of these & he was the hippest old man I ever knew.<br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">I don't own a motorcycle neither do I know how to ride one. Being a pillion rider is ok but not on a scrambler (without it's mud guard) on a rainy day. No way! Not especially if you are wearing some white/light coloured stuff. The minute you get off that damn bike, look at the back of your top - it'll be splattered with mud & dirt.<br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">I've also never really stepped into a motorcycle repair shop either. I mean really step-in. You know how these shops are. All you've got to do is to park your bike on the front of their shop & the inspections would be done there & then. There's no actual need to go deep into the shop..</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">I tell you, this old man at this particular tiny shop by the main road owns about 5 or was it 6 altogether. Man, it was like a treasure trove. Two of which belongs to the uncle, as he was addressed by the workers there. But I have all the rights to believe that he is the owner of the shop as he moves in & out freely.<br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 226px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SZDFJBX2-SI/AAAAAAAAA4c/6GCNFvADUes/s320/Norton+01.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300953520193075490" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 226px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SZDFJMKFMwI/AAAAAAAAA4k/OYCpeyrKzlg/s320/Norton+02.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300953523088077570" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Some of them were a little dusty - were actually waiting in line to be rebuilt. They are some real sturdy bikes & the design of it still looks so damn amazing. The current scrambler we have today actually resembles the Manx.. which I did not realize until I saw some pictures of it. It was so amazing! I don't have one to show you but you can always drop by <a href="http://www.nortonownersclub.org/">the norton owners club page </a>to check it out for yourselves.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 226px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SZDFJSeoeYI/AAAAAAAAA4s/m1HUhnZaxY0/s320/Norton+04.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300953524784888194" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 226px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SZDFJp_vEqI/AAAAAAAAA48/kFOEkvCwaKA/s320/Norton+06.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300953531097748130" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Some of these are waiting to be rebuilt to be sold off. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SZDLawIXEMI/AAAAAAAAA5c/pvKK4Xq0TlQ/s1600-h/Norton+10.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 226px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SZDLawIXEMI/AAAAAAAAA5c/pvKK4Xq0TlQ/s320/Norton+10.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300960421872079042" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 226px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SZDLaxgoDnI/AAAAAAAAA5U/7YyghscR1yU/s320/Norton+09.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300960422242291314" /><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">I think this particular unit belongs to the owner too.<br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 226px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SZDLbIBLGQI/AAAAAAAAA5k/ViPxb2saKeo/s320/Norton+11.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300960428284385538" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 226px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SZDMSVnJO-I/AAAAAAAAA5s/oNYPlgTmZBo/s320/Norton+12.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300961376826112994" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 226px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SZDMSmvesMI/AAAAAAAAA50/5btbceWmnAQ/s320/Norton+13.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300961381424476354" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 226px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SZDMTMIgRnI/AAAAAAAAA58/M4XsNOTOJOg/s320/Norton+14.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300961391461549682" /><br /></div></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">See how vintage they all look. It broke down on Sunday morning & followed by Thaipusam, so none of the repair shops were open. Lucky for him, there were a couple which are open today but some were close for cuti ganti..<div><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 226px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SZAcUw3IXJI/AAAAAAAAA2s/MZuy3KRq4H4/s320/MotorRosak+01.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300767904454171794" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 226px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SZAcVHshF6I/AAAAAAAAA20/ljGKJ9x2fwo/s320/MotorRosak+02.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300767910583670690" /><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">He held on to our car to make the journey slightly faster because the shop is kinda far. We knew it was dangerous, we hit on the double signal and went as slow as possible. Lucky for us it's still a holiday for some, therefore the roads are quite empty.</div><div style="text-align: justify;">I'm not really sure what occasion it was, but there seemed to be quite a number of lion dance performance along the way. I think they consider it the starting of a new year of the chinese calendar or maybe some just started business today after a long CNY break.. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">We made a u-turn then chose the nearest shop on the main road.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SZAeOS7x1lI/AAAAAAAAA3E/n_R94BldB9g/s1600-h/MotorRosak+04.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 226px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SZAeOS7x1lI/AAAAAAAAA3E/n_R94BldB9g/s320/MotorRosak+04.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300769992364643922" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SZAeOPojH9I/AAAAAAAAA28/lIjBzUGaUq4/s1600-h/MotorRosak+03.jpg"></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SZAeOPojH9I/AAAAAAAAA28/lIjBzUGaUq4/s1600-h/MotorRosak+03.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 226px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SZAeOPojH9I/AAAAAAAAA28/lIjBzUGaUq4/s320/MotorRosak+03.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300769991478681554" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Here mek JAh's inspecting his poor bike. If you see it, surely you'll be thinking they'd gonna have at least 80 people attending it. So much left-overs.. but apparently it's the norm for them to tapau for all of their family members.</div><div style="text-align: justify;">There's so much variety.. we had satay daging, chicken & the cow's stomach... & there were so many types of ulam.. the long bean, nangka, jantung pisang, ulam raja, terung rebus & a whole long list of it.. </div><div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 226px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SY7S7STI_7I/AAAAAAAAA1c/hs-peef0cXM/s320/Tahlil+01.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300405727427887026" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 226px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SY93-ECtHJI/AAAAAAAAA2c/nDHDnUy2JWU/s320/Tahlil+11.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300587194559044754" /><br /></div></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 226px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SY7S7t6BhFI/AAAAAAAAA1k/sKyeHwQfsDk/s320/Tahlil+05.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300405734838731858" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 226px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SY91E-lGp3I/AAAAAAAAA2U/Hizpnbb38fY/s320/Tahlil+10.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300584014816913266" /></div><div style="text-align: center;">I loved the melt-in-mouth cheese cake thou'... & my bum is also getting larger by the inch from that =D.. I couldn't sleep coz I was so excited looking thru' the pictures taken..<br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">When Suetlin & Hook Yee called me that morning I was still at home.. I told them that it'll only take me about 15 minutes to reach Mid Valley. It was the truth, but only if I had already mandi & got ready.<br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Instead it took me a little over 60 minutes (plus sesat in the mall, walking with Maq with a muscle strain on his leg)... to arrive at The Gardens Hotel. Some more we went to park at Mid Valley. So a very long walk lor to The Gardens. You know how the blarrdy traffic is at Mid Valley's on a Sunday right? The amount of people swarming that damn place is as if the mall is giving out free stuffs!!<br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Wah.. when I arrived, the whole table was full leh.. Everyone already happily stuffing.. The buffet lunch closes at 1.00 pm for the early birds. Early birds means that we could enjoy the 50% discount.. So we only pay RM44+ which comes up to RM51 instead of RM88++.<br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">The first thing that came to my mind - no one has actually looked like they've changed much!!! It was just like how we use to be 18 years ago. Woow.. 18 years I've lost contact with some of these characters! That's almost 2 decades! Where have we all been!?!?<br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">O'jin & Pat arrived last on the list & didn't join us for the lunch.. but as usual, O'jin was all charged up with extra-sugar-in-blood - he couldn't stop talking and most of us had lock jaws laughing to his funnies! And Pat, full of suaveness arrived in a gradient pullover, white pants & loafers. Pretty cool.. haha.. He looked just like the modern casanova!<br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">We had so many sessions of eat, sit, stand, smoke, talk, laugh, lou sang, took pictures till the rain came, the <span style="font-style:italic;">1st round of goodbyes</span> came. Coffee, talk talk talk, laugh laugh laugh, took more pictures, smoke again, then the <span style="font-style:italic;">2nd round of goodbyes</span>. Stand, wait, eat again, laugh laugh laugh, smoke again, stand, more talking & finally the <span style="font-style:italic;">last round of goodbyes</span>... Omg, I had thought the party would have ended by 2pm max. We finally went our own ways, only at 7pm.. and that's 5 hours overdue... lol<br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">It was all worthwhile!<br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Pat left 2 hours earlier which was right after coffee as he needs to drive back to Singapore. Thanks Pat for dropping by. It was such fun meeting you.. as always.<br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Then Juan was suddenly craving for Penang fried kwe teow.. So before we parted, we had the last round of makan at Little Penang Cafe, Mid Valley's.. fried kwe teow, lobak, pai tee, otak-otak.. Wah, still can stuff meh!? Goodness us! Finished every bit of it, nothing went to waste..<br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Wah like this - sure gotta start diet lor.. If start to become bigger than Pat - how to use him as weight buster!?!? Sorry ah Pat! You very tall & masculine.. sitting next to you makes us all look smaller.. hahahha..<br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">O'jin offered to send Juan back to his hotel, the <a href="http://www.millenniumhotels.com/my/millenniumkualalumpur/index.html">Grand Millennium </a> as he has a flight to catch at 1am.. and it was already 7pm.. Now we have to go look for Maq's sister.. We left her at the mall for almost 8 hours.. That's like one whole working day!<br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">We've got Hook Yee to thank for organizing this party.. =) Ooh.. I can't wait for next year.. =)<br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Those who were there for the party were: Hook Yee, Suetlin, Juan, Chan Fong, O'jin, Pat, Ka Yaw + Jennie + daughter,Celeste, Kheng Wai, U-Lee & son, Moi Hoe, Sor, Heng Kok, myself & Arwan.<br /></div><div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 226px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SY60RBB3vcI/AAAAAAAAA08/_d0DKeExs6c/s320/MIA+CNY+21.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300372015888711106" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 226px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SY61Yu3SrKI/AAAAAAAAA1E/cvHXt4inszo/s320/MIA+CNY+68.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300373247963081890" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 226px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SY62pF7MxvI/AAAAAAAAA1U/K-k_DROWOyc/s320/MIA+CNY+24.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300374628543022834" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 226px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_P-SeEQ4s8b4/SY62LzQxp2I/AAAAAAAAA1M/lp_RyToypCg/s320/MIA+CNY+74.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300374125317039970" /><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div></div>Life Spinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10973537771827907239noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1985944620332151883.post-60506105482216195662009-02-01T09:26:00.004+08:002009-02-13T20:12:09.550+08:00Sunday Morning<div style="text-align: justify;">I've been extremely excited ever since yesterday.. Then climbing down in a very quick motion to capture the top part as well. <br />And very swiftly, make a mental visualization combining both reflections (the top & bottom) one just saw. <br /><br />And if one is still unsatisfied with how he/she looked, the same procedure would be repeated until satisfaction is obtained !!Life Spinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10973537771827907239noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1985944620332151883.post-19606785548960491832008-11-07T18:53:00.001+08:002008-11-07T18:53:46.755+08:00The 'Am I Fat' SyndromeAm I fat?!<br /><br />Do you ask yourself that, all of the time?<br /><br />Honestly, I used to..<br /><br />Once upon a time, staying slim used to be one of my mission. But not any longer.<br /><br />First & foremost, it is so bloody tiresome to look into the mirror every morning to inspect every inch of what you think is your fats. <br /><br />In which is not. <br /><br />Then on to the weighing machine I would heave myself.. carefully. So carefully, treading only on the sides of it. Trying not to step right in the middle.. Hoping that by doing so, I would weigh a couple of pounds lighter... ! <br /><br />Would I? For God’s sake.. why the hell did I do that for? I just can’t recall.<br />I curse myself for being silly enough to do just that.<br /><br />It’s all in our imaginary system. <br />Just learn to love and live with it.Life Spinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10973537771827907239noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1985944620332151883.post-43121223308387296252008-11-07T16:46:00.000+08:002008-11-07T18:38:42.691+08:00'Hard to Please'Sometimes, life sucks.<br /><br />You do something, thinking quietly to yourself - ‘I’d better do it the way it has always been done.
