'Babe'

What is the gist of calling someone:

'Babe'...........?

At first, it simply feels funny calling someone 'Babe' as it so reminds me of "Babe" the 1995 feature length Australian movie. It's like calling someone 'Hey Pig'..... it somehow refers to 'Babe' the little adorable pig.

But as time goes by, more people are used to being addressed as 'Babe', and none seemed to mind at all.

So I thought to myself, what the heck !
