Motor Rosak on Thaipusam

| Monday, February 9, 2009

We left home at 10a.m. Had to go over to the Shell station at Jalan Loke Yew (I think) to fetch mek JAh's motorcycle for repair. It broke down on Sunday morning & followed by Thaipusam, so none of the repair shops were open. Lucky for him, there were a couple which are open today but some were close for cuti ganti..

He held on to our car to make the journey slightly faster because the shop is kinda far. We knew it was dangerous, we hit on the double signal and went as slow as possible. Lucky for us it's still a holiday for some, therefore the roads are quite empty.
I'm not really sure what occasion it was, but there seemed to be quite a number of lion dance performance along the way. I think they consider it the starting of a new year of the chinese calendar or maybe some just started business today after a long CNY break..

We made a u-turn then chose the nearest shop on the main road.

Here mek JAh's inspecting his poor bike. He didn't even have the heart to go online yesterday due to this.. He just got his motorcycle from his hometown.. & this has to happen to him.

This bro was trying to dismantle the engine.. Gosh! so many bolts & tiny pieces of stuffs..

WalauƩ... after 2 long hours!! Finally, it's off.. & the reason is that the kapchai operates in 4 strokes. That's what I was told.. hmm.. It has many parts & pieces, unlike those that operates in 2 strokes, such as the scramblers.. (I think so) ^_^

Now for the result - engine kong! That's it ?! & it needs a major overhaul which is gonna burn a hole thru' his pants. He was really lucky cos' they're willing to give him a student %.. cool..
If you are a student & needs a major overhaul make sure you drop by their shop.. at the roundabout of Jalan Loke Yew.
& the boss also has loads of collectors item : the Norton Motorcycles..
